Kain Strife
Some Kind of Animator
So, I figured I'd open a topic, I spend alot of time on animations, and can't really get feedback halfway into something, because really I should showcase the final product, and it's hard for people to understand where rough animations are going. Anyways, I may post little finished excerpts of animation to show how well something is coming along... I dunno, but for now, I guess I'll just post some of the works I did. I prefer that my Newgrounds be looked at over the YT videos, which can be found over at Kiigen.Newgrounds.com although for the sake of embedding and convenience, I'll post teh YT vids of what I have so far.
Ryu actually helped Beta Test this for me, back when I was still new in the IRC, I think he was the only person I let know I was working on animations... I felt I'd personally be more excited if no one knew, and opinions weren't biased off being friends with me. That way I can actually get real criticism, which of course is important.
Since I finished The Jenova Cure, I have been working on projects I think are just as funny. They have become big time consuming projects, and after enough time, I'd feel anxious and want to make and release something else, even if it wasn't as funny. Namely this next one, Hadokamochen.
This one was fun to make, but alas, it sucked. It wasn't funny, but it did look great. It was also the first time I used color shading, I did so because someone gave me criticism on Newgrounds suggesting that the shading looked bland using just darker shades of the same color. I think it looks good like that. but, it wasn't funny.
This one I made from July 1st to July 10th. I worked my ass off to make it. It's a remake of the same named Animation minus the Re. I found the concept funny, but I thought that it might've needed a different way to express itself, I asked the original creator's permission to make it and he let me. I had fun with it.
This was for a collab. The goal was to make a 60 Frame animation at 20fps, essentially a 3 second animation. This is my first attempt at Action Sequencing (If that's what it's called). I enjoyed it, and will probably find excuses to have action in my animations from now on.
Not too much more to say... I have alot of projects I'm working on now, and sometimes I regret making them require so much work... I think it'll be worth it in the end, they are fun and I do love where they are headed.
Um, yeah, thassabout it.
