Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue - Coming to PS4

That's a mouthful of a title, but we expect nothing less from the series that gave us Three-Five-Eight Days Over Two. =P

Officially confirmed, it's Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance in HD. Also includes (quoting press release):

This newly remastered title also features:
· KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage –
o A completely new playable episode that links to the story of KINGDOM HEARTS III, taking place after the storyline of KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep played from the perspective of Aqua.

· KINGDOM HEARTS χ [chi] Back Cover (movie)
o A new HD movie that tells the mysterious story of the Foretellers, connecting the earliest parts of the series’ history, showcased in the upcoming mobile title KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ[chi].

i was thinking about replaying 3d but now i don't want to

it seems like it has less content that 1.5 and 2.5 (both the χ movie and bbs episode being labelled 'short'), but i'm still looking forward to it i'm just hoping with it being on the ps4 it's still going to be priced low like 1.5/2.5 were

Well...at least now we know that Kingdom Hearts 3 won't be coming out next year, but in 2017...Ugh, one more year of waiting for the final title of the "Seeker of Darkness" saga.

I'm never gonna complete my "Sailor Moon Continuum-Chaos Saga" fanfic at this rate!

Oh well, at least 2.8 is something to look forward to.

Why did Kingdom Hearts become so confusing?

It's amazing how they've now done HD remakes of all the Kingdom Hearts game, but only did a HD remake of X so far for the FF games.
Only KH HD remake that I'd like is. The one with KH II, because that should have better graphics than the original, and it has BBS for the PS3, so bigger screen and all and I loved that game.

I'm inevitably going to buy it because I'm a huge fan. I still need to get through 1.5 and 2.5, although in my defence, I have finished the first one once since I got both editions.

I still haven't finished 2.5 yet. Stopped playing KHII around Christmas because other stuff got in the way. I plan on finishing 2.5 before this hits though.
I only expected a DDD port to be honest, it's neat they included some additional stuff. Very curious about the Aqua episode.

I guess I'm admittedly curious on what X(Chi): Back Cover would be like. I'd be shocked if Xehanort was either a descended of the sixth Foreteller or an reincarnation of that Foreteller, or reborn with no memories.

I actually don't plan to either.... it's weird, I know.

I know that I said that I was interested on how KH X Back Cover would be like, but now I'm finding myself more curious on how Aqua's new chapter will play out, and if I remember correctly, it's also a somewhat flash-back kind of thing like FFX, except that King Mickey reveals a few secrets to Sora shortly after the events of DDD, and then the story will move on into the past set shortly after the events of BBS and go through the ten years of experience, despite having only one world. Wonder how that will play out?

I just thought of something. What if, the scene where Sora finds Master Eraqus's Keyblade in the early trailers of Kingdom Hearts, is gonna be a scene for the upcoming storyline "0.2-A Fragmenty Passage", as we have no idea how Aqua ended up losing that Keyblade, and they say that it'll lead into Kingdom Hearts 3 itself.

Now that FFXV is gonna be released in September this year, we have high hopes that KH 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue comes out at least in October or November...though I think either December or, unfortunately and most likely since I'm positive it won't be out this year, January next year and then we have to wait until 2018 for KH3, but anyway, I just found out that the english version of Kingdom Hearts Unchained X for IOS will be out this week on Thursday in North America!

Aren't the people in the masks from Unchained X (chi)? All I know is that the game hasn't been released in Europe yet but I do follow a few Americans on tumblr who keep talking about Ursus this and Unicornis that. It's all lost on me tbh lol

They've just announced Unchained X for Europe. No date, just "soon".

I don't think that's really Terra in the trailer. Remember how in DDD the sleeping worlds just repeated things that had happened before? That's probably what's going on here. That's just the world dreaming Terra into the scenario and he's reacting to Aqua's presence. It mirrors the start of Aqua's Castle of Dreams:
