This is actually amazing! The Hasselhoff music video just made it even better. It reminds me a bit of Kung Pow and Black Dynamite, but 30 minutes is a lot better for this kind of film, jokes usually wear thin in the full length ones.

I actually appreciate Hasselhoff's somewhat strange turn career-wise. I know that he is currently hosting a Late night show in Finland (of all places!) interviewing local celebrities. He is making more and more niche things and I'm not sure if it's because that's all he gets to do nowadays, or that's actually what he wants to do. Nevertheless he's a cool guy, full respect.

Kung Fury was also a nice clip, though I might be a tad older than the target audience for this kind of movies tends to be.

I enjoyed the insanity of it, though. You can't help but laugh at it.

Kung Fury is supposed to be absolutely ridiculous, though. It's not supposed to be good or make sense. It's a satire of a lot of pop culture tropes.

Which in turn ends up making it good.

I can see why it might not be your jam, but it is 100% what it is supposed to be, which is an over-the-top-trope-stuffed-amalgamation-of-80s-awesome. Then again, I did KickStart the project because this was 100% exactly what I wanted, so I also knew what to expect from it.

Michael Fassbender to star in feature-length Kung Fury film

Michael Fassbender will star in David Sandberg&#8217;s action-comedy &#8220;Kung Fury,&#8221; which Sandberg will also star in and produce under his Laser Unicorns&#8217; banner.

As previously announced, David Hasselhoff will join the cast following his role in the original short film &#8220;Kung Fury.&#8221; The short, which gained a cult following, was partly funded on Kickstarter and was selected for Cannes Directors Fortnight. The feature-length project, which will be a sequel to the original short, is shooting this summer.
