That the text at the top seems to run off the page seems off. And 「ライトニングで再生する」 seems to be trying to say 'play as Lightning', but uses a word more for playing videos/etc. that what you would use for controlling a character. In that vein, 「一部かかる」 seems to be trying to say 'take part', but the take in this case is take time or cost money, not participate.

I knew it. As always the Japanese Final Mix release trumps ours...I've said it before and I'll say it again, SE does not respect their North American fanbase.

Well, there's still a chance at us getting it as DLC, no? DLC isn't very... popular in Japan. (Maybe there is some sort of link between the failure of 360 there as well?)

This statement is a bit overkill, don't you think? We already get extra content that the regular Japanese fanbase doesn't get in their release. What's so wrong with SE wanting to release something extra special for their native fans? Seems only fair that they'd want to please them first.

I'm sorry but statements like this just seem rather childish to me. We don't even know if it's 100% legit yet or not anyway.

Also Lighting is cool but Dissidia was supposed to be about the first twenty years. I don't think anyone from FFXIII should be included but that isn't up to me.

SE gives us additional content for less than what the Japanese pay for one copy, much less the two they pay for.

Yes, our extra content wasn't in their original release, and now they're getting all we got and more. It's favoritism, and it's snubbing a good portion of their fanbase. And I don't just mean Universal Tuning - I mean all the Japanese exclusion content like the novelizations, Ultimanias, all the "Final Mix/International" releases. Seems SE does that for all their titles now, if I lived in Japan I'd never buy a SE game when it comes out, I'd wait a year for the enhanced re-released with bonus features.

A slim possibility and one that is a small ray of hope. But I won't hold my breath.

Yes, Drake, but these are the fans native to their own country. For all we know maybe they just don't see it being cost effective to sell here. People in the US aren't as hardcore about FF to the point where they'd by novels about it in droves like people in Japan would. How much does it cost to export to the US? It might not make any monetary sense, or maybe they don't think we are interested.

And yes, they get what we got and more, but how much money are they charging? In order to get what we got plus more fans are going to have to shell out a TON of money, and not even everyone will buy it, just as I'm sure a lot of people in the US wouldn't bother buying a second copy of Dissidia if we got it here.

Not everybody is going to be bothered enough about an updated version to pay full price at full price again, and others might not want to play it in English instead of Japanese. It seemed like they were changing with DC International being cheaper, but that seems to have just being because no one cares about DC.

And a couple of blurry scans don't really confirm anything :monster: I can't really find anything else about this, so I wouldn't put a lot of faith in it.

Hahahhaha bullshit.

These are the same fans that buy dozens of toys, plushies, and fucking pillows with their favorite characters on them. The same people that bought up Dirge of Cerberus despite it getting widely panned by critics.

FF fans eat SE's bullshit up.

Exactly. If people will buy Cloud Strife perfume and plushies and Fenrir keychains, they'll buy Ultimania guides.

I think its the bee's knees that she's in Dissidia, but I won't be buying it at full price just for one character and story line. I was a little disappointed by the weapon, gear and the way some of my favorite characters fought in Dissidia. So, unless they update more than the characters, I don't think I'll be getting it. :(

FF fans eat SE's bullshit up.
That's what I say all the time to my friends! :P

Yes but a book? I just don't see it selling.

And did DC even do that well? It never made greatest hits, and I've heard the standard of becoming a greatest hit is lower in the US than other countries.

And as for critics, I don't agree with what people like that say a lot of the time anyway. If I stayed away from every game that critics didn't like I might actually miss out on something that I would enjoy.

I was wondering...why wouldn't they add other characters instead of Lighting? It seemed fishy to me :P

The guy did a awesome job though :S

I said it to fellow members on a FF forum lol
This is what I said in my post:
I can't believe it, not that its bad, but still...I thought they'd add more FF7 characters...weird. It seems pretty weird they'd go and pick Lightning.
Something wasn't right about it all >.>

It did make greatest hits and it sold a lot better than it deserved.

Also lol @fakes.

SE fans will buy whatever they can either way. Fucking perfume for fucks sake.
