I disagree. It's a girl who is strong and badass and isn't a damsel in distress that needs a man to get through the danger that she's in. Instead of running away in fear from the zombies, she grabs a weapon and fights. This game is made for men and women. Women are going to like the fact that it's a girl kicking ass, and men are going to enjoy the short skirts and sexual innuendos. Do you think that FF7 is for pedo creeps because Tifa wears a short skirt, and works in a bar ?

More seriously, this is from Suda51, who does have a reputation for parody and satire in his games- the NMH games abound in them- and this strikes me as being over the top mockery of making action sex symbol heroines. Or making action heroines sex overt sex symbols in ways incongruous to their action hero status.

On yet another hand, though, this is basically what Buffy did all those years ago plus a rocket launcher chainsaw, so who knows.

You say she’s strong because not afraid to fight but it doesn’t alter the fact she’s a cheerleader. Don’t cheerleaders exist purely to wear skimpy outfits and dance around in front of men?

Are there any fat cheerleaders with really bad acne? No? Why not?
Is that because the main qualification for being a cheerleader is being good looking enough that men want to penetrate them?

Bayonetta had the right balance (rule of cool), she was dressed like a stripper but didn’t exist just to please men.
Sure she was eye candy for the boys but also a strong female character that took no shit from anyone.

Cheerleaders seem I dunno....submissive, only there to please men.
To soon to tell but I think that I’d be too embarrassed/ashamed to buy this game.

Though I'm sure those poor girls get that kind of rep anyway. Idk, I had friends that were cheerleaders in the past, and they were nice. My cousin is also a cheerleader and she's not some slut that exists to please men so, uhh, yeah. Idk, I don't like stereotypes that are THIS obnoxious.

For anyone concerned about stereotypes, I'd suggest comparing Lollipop Chainsaw to Onechanbara.

Onechanbara is girls fighting Zombies in bikinis. That's it, and it's really just because they can make them wear next to nothing, with no purpose behind it aside from watching them wearn next to nothing.

Lollipop Chansaw is using the Cheerleader & Zombie / Pop & Gore juxtaposition as a key aesthetic to the game's style, which is what I think that the people who are interested in the game like about it.
