BACK ON TOPIC. I'm a little confused. Is the logic behind the theory that Aerith's spirit lives in Cloud and not the Lifestream that he can see her and she speaks to him? If so, does Zack live on in him too?

A lot of people also see how devoted Tifa is to Cloud. She never ceases to be unfailingly loyal to him, and she is always there when he needs her. But, it isn't the other way around. So, I can see why some people might think that Tifa is too good for Cloud*. He is simply not always there for her and he is gone a lot when she wants to be by his side. I can see why some people might think Cloud is selfish, but they need to understand he has his own life. If he doesn't wish to be tethered to a non-existent love, I don't see why he should be.

This cracks me up. What exactly is this untethered life they think Cloud is leading?

A man who at first chance tells his woman he wants to be with her from that point forward. Who raises children with her. Who gets supplies for her. Who after dealing with some mental issue immediately goes back to said woman and children. And has been doing this for years.

Does this sound like a man who wants to throw off the shackles of expectations and go fuck flowers for the rest of his life?



*Editors note: Funny how this person says some people think Tifa is too good for Cloud. Hasn't their opinion always been that Tifa is horrible for Cloud?

I think it comes from a quote talking about all the ribbons, but I think it was talking about how she wears hers, not calling it the original.

In AC, we can see all members that saved the Planet wear a pink ribbon on their arms. Mentioning the pink ribbon, it will necessarily bring to mind the one that sacrificed herself in the previous battle in FF7—Aerith. This ribbon is the symbol of all members’ feeling that “she will always be remembered”. Although Marlene does not tie the ribbon around her arm, she keeps a hairstyle which reminds us of Aerith.
