[Maaya Sakamoto as Aerith] Echo Chamber

Maaya Sakamoto is known for many voice overs like Ghost in the Shell, Vision of Escaflowne, but her performance as Aerith in FFVIIR is melting me. I always imagined Aerith in a similar way, but now being able to hear that EXACT character wearing such an amazing and talented voice is a blessing.

Lines like "意地悪！／いじわる","頼もしい／たのもしい" or "褒められてる／ほめられてる？？" are like light in the dark tunnel. I always been Team Aerith, but now when she has been given such voice...

I thought she did a good job. In fact, they did a great job with most of the characters in the remake. Shame they undermined it with that horrendous ending.

Well, the ending is just an open door to next part, but I totally agree that it was SOOOOO underwhelming.

Yeah, they really did a good job it’s how I imagined her, she’s not like antic pixie dream girl, or like sickly sweet and perfect I am way that doesn’t exist in reality, she’s still believable and she’s fully fleshed out and dimensional, it is a great portrayal and good voice actress.
