Magic healing water question

Nope -- In Case Of Barret it talks about people having it all over the world (including Shera), and people trying to get to Midgar for better medical facilities.

I see. And now, Midgar has the best Medical facility ever, a spring filled with Holy Healing water.

I was always more curious as to what could have prevented the spring, as well as geostigma healing-rain, from occurring earlier than it did.

The healing rain didn't happened before because Aerith couldn't overcome Sephiroth's spirit/will, preventing her from causing the rain.

That's the reason why Aerith was only able to cause the rain after Sephiroth's defeat.

Wait wait wait...

Before when I posted saying I'm surprised Cloud was able to stand so well after Sephiroth's onslaught everyone was like, "Well that's because Aerith's rain started to heal him."... so now it just heals Geostigma? Which is it? And don't give me any of that "Cloud can stand cause of his will." bullshit when there was a conversation going on about how when your knee is sliced like that it effects your whole body or some stuff... and besides.... Cloud sucks.... cause I said so.... so there.

The spring under the Church that heals Cloud from his geostigma is uncovered before the Kadaj fight, well before Sephiroth's will is defeated.

The actual *rain* didn't happen until Sephiroth was defeated. Aerith couldn't overcome Sephiroth's will in order to rain down the water over the entire city to save everyone.

I can see how Sephiroth's will could stop the rain, I'm just curious as to what could have prevented Aerith from creating a spring that could have saved lives that were being added to the negative lifestream.

The only conclusion I can come up with is that the spring was always there and just needed to be unearthed, or that the SHM would have destroyed it had they known about it - though the fact that they can't seem to touch it without being hurt may have prevented that.

None of this is answering my question, but fortunately for all of you, I forgot what my question was. I think it had to do with Cloud wearing a dress.

... so like.. is the water always gonna be there in the church? We now know it can heal wounds and even internal injuries. What I want to know is, are people gonna be lining up there go cure their illnesses or aches? And if I were to shoot myself in the head while falling into the water, could I survive?..

okay that last one was me being weird, but I would like to know this.

It is shown nowhere in the movie/s that the water heals wounds or injuries. The only thing that's obvious is the Geostigma -- unless it's stated somewhere else. :monster:

And even if the water remains, there wouldn't be any point to it continuing to be magical healing juice forever if it only cures Geostigma, because the disease, presumably, will all be healed eventually.

.......................Oh, the rain :awesome:

I completely forgot about the rain. I was just thinking of the spring in the church. :wackymonster:

Where is it said that the rain was healing him, by the by? He still looked pretty cut up, and I don't remember any green tendrils coming off him like with the Geostigma.

It could still be Sephiroth's will, but maybe seeing Cloud at Kadaj's mercy caused her to, well, limit break and push through Sephiroth's will for that isolated area.

*shrugs* Just a guess. Apparently it also sewed Cloud's clothes back together as well :wacky:

Let's try this again

Before when I posted saying I'm surprised Cloud was able to stand so well after Sephiroth's onslaught everyone was like, "Well that's because Aerith's rain started to heal him."...
So it's not official, but as I said when I posted about Cloud being able to stand, that was the response I got.

EDIT:
Actually I'm gonna edit that, someone is gonna take offense.

I does make sense, from that point of view, that the water heals more than just geostigma, since he was able to stand and fight Kadaj and Sephiroth...

The rain doesn't start until after Kadaj stumbles and Cloud catches him, though. You see the first drop hit Kadaj's cheek before it downpours. After it starts, the only fighting Cloud tries is to go after Yazoo and Loz for shooting him in the chest, and he's still cut up from his fight with Sephiroth. If the rain healed regular injuries rather than just the 'stigma, his cuts sould have dissapeared.

In the movie/s it only shows it healing Geostigma, so unless it's stated somewhere else official that it does more, it's presumable that it doesn't.
