Yeah, but anyway judging from what I've seen in demo vids and trailers, it has a decent control scheme although it takes getting used to. However, actually getting 4 people around with PSPs seems to be hard for me even though the co-op and multiplayer sounds good. Yes, I am still fuckin' pumped for this game. For now.

Also, interactive cutscenes sounds both interesting and pervy (what's with the X-ray vision srsly), although it sounds pretty much like glorified quick-time events.

Also, in the trailer Snake seems to be spending far too much time in a field of flowers. It's the first thing I thought after I said "HOLY FUCK THIS IS SO COOL". And yeah it's probably the one thing I'm worried about as he seems to be genuinely going through a bit of an emo phase over The Boss like whyyyy

Although granted, over the only person who's ever made a Snake cry

Only thing more I want to say is that Kojima's writing and emotional + philosophical babble sounds a lot better in Japanese, although because there was no David Hayter I couldn't quite recognise Snake during the faceless VOs

The theme song is garbage. The cutscenes are being collaborated on with series art director and Ashley wood so they won't be completely hideous.

I just don't give a shit about MGS anymore, and I give even less of a shit about this game when I found out the bosses can sing to you.

The art style kind of creeps me out too... I guess I'm just not used to it. I don't think it's bad, though. The song is okay. The melody itself is beautiful, but the actual words and voice... I dunno. And what's with all of these characters......Some of them seem really annoying. Whatever. It has Big Boss so I'm excited.

Kojima completely failed at telling a decent story in MGS4, Peace Walker seems to be retreading the same shit over.

BB was emo over the Boss in PO, going over it again is just because they have no other means to make the story dramatic for Big Boss.

- Yamaha has a vocal singing synthesizer system known as Vocaloid.

- A normal Vocaloid software costs quite a bit of money, so Konami cannot include it in Peace Walker itself.

- Yamaha also has an online service known as NetVocaloid, where the user inputs lyrics and sends them to a server, which synthesizes the song and sends it back to the user, hence delivering the end result without the user requiring to own Vocaloid software itself.

- Kojima is insane and decided to use Vocaloids to personalize the AI bosses in Peace Walker.

- Because he is very insane, he decided instead of having just fixed voice samples generated by the Vocaloid, he will also allow players to input their own lyrics into the game to interact with the boss(es?) to make them sing different songs.

- So he uses the NetVocaloid system from Yamaha. Konami will put up their own interim server to handle the transmissions and bandwidth.

- Kojima hasn't actually revealed anything about the bosses in the game, or the AI characters in the storyline, so therefore actual details about the entire system are vague.

- This service will be available in both the Japanese, and International versions of Peace Walker.

I thought Naked Snake and The Boss were pretty decent characters, partly because MGS3 was the most awesome, but also because their ideologies were probably the easiest to understand from the entire series (patriotism, greed, beaurocracy, blah blah blah).
On the other hand, it took half an hour of strategy guides and in-game reading to understand what exactly Liquid wanted and for most of MGS1 I didn't think Solid Snake had an ideology. Which goes to show that cloned beings are always going to be more emotionally 2-dimensional than the original thing.

If what Kojima says can be trusted, Peace Walker is pretty much the final follow-up to Metal Gear, so there's obviously going to be a lot more shit than just "Big Boss Goes Emo".

But yeah... the flower field. I can't get over the fact that he spends time moping in the flower field. I'm going to flip the fuck out if he starts asking for "forgiveness".

It was fucking awful.

The first two chapters were good enough, the rest awful. Shitty writing, pathetic direction of supposedly emotional scenes, raped characters, and crap "twists" completely ruined much of the MGS series for me. The fact that the story completely craps on the gameplay near the halfway point doesn't help.

I waited near 7 years for a continuation of MGS2's plot and what I got was a complete joke that shit on many of my favorite characters, including Raiden. The game collapsed under trying to satisfy fan's bullshit demands and expectations.

Apparently Kojima had it in his head that he'd drop the MGS series and only produce it after writing up a few plot points for the rest of K. Productions to flesh out by themselves, but apparently no-one understood what the fuck he was going on about and so he needed a more hands-on approach, lol
At least, that's what I heard. And yeah, another Enders would make my day.

Filthy Americans. The new Silent Hill looks so fucking retarded. Let's take the first game and it's awesomeness, and totally mess it up. Why ruin a beautiful thing? :c I just can't understand why you'd want a game where you spend time running from the monsters in a short set period of time. I think you should be able to fight them off like the other games. And the Other World being frozen really pisses me off too. It doesn't look scary anymore... it just looks like they got really, really lazy.

And NO MORE RADIO! Instead Harry uses his cell phone. Ugh.

... And the themes and health bars from the respective games during the final fight with Liquid Ocelot was pretty cool too. The whole Liquid and Ocelet thing doesn't make any damn sense to me but they started that in 2 so you can't blame that one on 4. Soundtrack was good too.
