objectively each of these is worth at least an 8/10 and I would recommend all of them for people who are interested in their respective genres
Seraphim Falls, Pan's Labyrinth, 3:10 to Yuma, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Pulp Fiction, Crank, Dog Soldiers, Moon, Mulholland Drive, Planet Terror, Super, Watchmen, District 9, Fight Club, The Fountain, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, There Will Be Blood, Coraline, Twelve Monkeys, American History X, The Prestige, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Dogma, Drag Me to Hell, The Social Network, Troll Hunter, Army of Darkness, Troll Hunter, Requiem for a Dream, Drive, Carnage, Warrior, Sunshine.
Off the top of my head. These are all excellent and incredibly interesting movies. Maybe not for their plot, but there is something incredibly compelling or fascinating about a certain element (whether it be the direction, art design, writing, whatever) about all of these that definitely warrants a look.
^These suggestions are solid.
I'll add:
City of God, The Fall, Schindler's List, Dead Poet's Society, Lost in Translation, The Tree of Life, Drive, Midnight in Paris, and Waltz with Bashir. I'll probably make a longer list later.
