I find it impressive how FF8 is among the top for so many here, with all the shit it's getting. Mine as well is FF7 and FF8. Also played FF4, FF6, FF10 and unfortunately FF13, didn't like them much for the story.

He does say he already knew what was going to happen. Regardless, that was a great reaction

He explained that comment a bit later; he meant that he realised what was going to happen when he saw Aeris on the altar (and possibly also because we'd been getting excited in the chat, whoops). I don't think he really knew as such. He's been very perceptive on a lot of things though. I don't want to comment on any of his theories because he's going to read this thread but I've been impressed.

FF7, then FF5 then FF6 were my favourites. I loved 8 too but the story line made no sense.
