Perlman looked much better in his adaption and as much as I love hopper in stranger things I just don't think this is gonna work.

Looks like a cheap cash grab / action comedy knockoff TBH - if they're not going to up the stakes from the previous movies, why even bother? Those had production quality, this has cheap prosthetics, cheap jokes and lame trailer music.

but imagine if we lived in a world where the people would refrain from going to see the movie as a result of that.

I dunno... there's just something.. off about it. The prosthetics don't help, but I can't tell if it's my own biases comparing it to Del Toro's, or if it just doesn't look good.
