When I got a SNES, I got it late (Xmas 1996). I think I wanted it solely for Killer Instinct. I was a Megadrive (Genesis) child. Anyways, life stories aside, I think I read somewhere fairly recently that PS2 games were still doing very well in the global market. Maybe up-and-coming countries can't afford the newer systems just yet. It sounds like these people are just creating a SNES game out of personal interest though.

Where was this released?

The last new SNES game released in the United States was a Frogger remake in 1998, almost 14 years ago.
