Oh yeah....>_> The professionals and character creators have their character sooooooo wronnnnnng. Like they have any experience or skills.. The guy who knows Cloud best because he actually designed him and knows his intentions is sooooo offffff. I bet he never played the game. *sarcasm*

Well if we're being fair, the original artwork's leg to chest ratio is a bit off. Overall though when did muscles ever matter for lifting a fictional BFS? I always preferred leaner builds to the walking bricks and I agree Cloud was never meant to be particularly bulky, especially since practically everyone is taller than him.

So I hadn't been able to get to my computer in a few days, but as promised here is every frame (cut out the old one and the very end with the logo, didn't think we needed those, and we're at 3,037 frames anyway) of the new trailer to use as you all see fit. Nice job, even though a lot of them seem to be blurred. Looking through them, Cloud's eyes seem to be bluer in some images than others, so I guess maybe their more greenish colour may just be the lighting after all. I still can't stress enough that his arm band makes his hand look detachable to me. I'm not even entirely sure his arm should be able to fit through it.

Pretty sure they'll fix it up. We have to remember that the game is still in early stages of development(and Nomura likes to take his sweet time). I mean, a decade for FFXV until he decided to give up on that project, handed it over to...whatever that guy's name is(the one who directed CC and Type-0) to focus on his other titles.

What gets to me is that they gave Barret Sunglasses, which is really meant for Rude. I seriously don't want anyone else's designs to be screwed up, and I fear what our beloved Reno will be like in the remake(in design, not attitude, since we all know that-at least in my opinion-the reason why he is more devoted to ShinRa is because he lost so many comrades and friends who, along with the other two remaining Turks(before Elena) are his family that he deeply respected and loved, and was forced to hide his feelings, though he was more miserable, up until he came to a conclusion that Cloud was not his real enemy, and that he was so happy to learn that the previous Turks, including Veld, were all still alive, and that's why he was more cheerful in Advent Children, and showed a bit more of his emotions as well.)

Since this seems like a 'test trailer' in a lot of ways, I'd hazard a guess that if these are yellow materia in the sword, they're still in the early stages. If they show up in weapons (which would be frickin' awesome) in the final game, then I image they'd give off a glow like they always have.

Those seem more like just the depressions in the blade where materia would go.

^I wondered that too, but it looks like those gold spots are convex rather than concave with the way the light hits them.

Idk guys, they look green to me. I wouldn't expect them to glow unless they were being used, so the dullness isn't surprising either. And they should be green, because Bolt + Ice = what Cloud starts the game with (already in the buster sword). Seems pretty canonical to me :D

They look yellow-green, much like the mucus the patients are always calling about at the doctor's office at which I work :monster:

But this picture doesn't really highlight them. In fact, I honestly never would have guessed that that was materia. They don't look quite round in that screenshot, although I'm sure that's the result of poor angles and poor lighting.

Agreed that they look quite yellow. And I figured they'd glow more? Maybe the glow increases as you master them?

I think this is the first time I've ever seen anything in the those holes :monster: I mean I knew they were materia slots but they never had any materia in them any time the BS was depicted (or is it just me?)

Regarding what might be materia in the Buster Sword round slots:
The way they look actually corresponds to a glassy material. Given the lighting and the place they're in, they receive very little light and don't yield a lot of reflection.
If you want the materia to "shine with magic", IMO you need to add a volumetric emission shader, like I did in my rendition of the sector 5 slums materia shop.
