The battle system looks enjoyable, a sort of mix between the original and XV's.

The gameplay mechanics look like the best compromise they could have possibly done, and it seems to retain all of the old options while looking visually interesting. I'm still not sold on the textures but perhaps it's been done like that to work on the Nintendo NX. Square seem to be chummy with nintendo as of late.

I watched this stream just for FF7 Remake and this is the first thing they have shown. As soon as CoD showed on screen I closed the thing and started searching for the trailer so I can watch it over and over again. This remake really well reproduces FF7's atmosphere, Biggs, Wedge and Jessie are awesome, Barret looks cool with his sunglasses like he is from men in black or something.
My hype is over the top!

I'm not going to lie, just as much as the graphics, for some reason the music really got to me. It was such a blast of nostalgia and the shininess of the new that makes it great.

But wow, amazing. I didn't expect English voiceacting either. I can also get behind Barret in sunglasses and the gameplay was just wow. Everything was so wow.

I can't wait for them to announce a limited edition ps4. I have one already but it will be gettin bought. Just noticed something in the combat gameplay too. There's a bar that fills with every attack until it hit's red. Looks to me like a 'cooldown' bar. It slowly drops between attacks and shoots up during one. So they've made it so it's not turn based but you also can't spam attack. Really impressed so far.

Oh my God, I just watched it. OMG the graphics, the music, the voice actors already in english (?!), the gameplay, being able to fight as all (?) the characters, Midgar, the streets, Biggs Wedge and Jessie for crying out loud, Barret in SUNGLASSES he looks so cool, jesus do you guys know I got tears in my eyes again when you started posting this stuff.

Merry Christmas to us all. What a beautiful early gift to unwrap. Exceeded my expectations, did not expect to get a trailer like this. <3

I was never too worried about the battle system. Only know just how good it can be actually playing it, but it looks exciting. In the meantime, loving everything else. It's surreal looking at it - in the sense of "Oh, it's no tech demo, that's for sure."

There's so much more that can be said, but all I'll say is I'm digging Barret's shades.
And at 1:15, reckon that's a version of his "Big Shot"?

Anyway, one of my biggest worries about the remake is voice acting. I don't mind Burton, but his voice acting always seemed half dead to me. But I don't think that's a talent thing, I think it's a direction thing. And Cloud's character has bounced around so much that I would be confused on the way to use his voice.

I've never really like Barret's voice, but he's the guy from Cowboy Beebop so he got talent I guess.

Biggs and Jessie are pretty good but someone slap Wedge for me.
