Heidegger in hologram form reminds me a bit of Arcturus Mengsk a bit. Of course, he's always been strong with the Generalissimo vibes, so thats just icing on the cake.

Still not coherent enough for a full rundown, but I'm loving it all. The english from Jessie is a bit wonky, but these lines were specifically recorded for the trailer, so I have a feeling the take will be different when they say the actual line. Also, trailers lie, including through awkward cuts of lines without context and reworking them, so there is that....

I am officially ready for this game. No more trailers. No more showing new stuff from the game. More toys or music or whatever is fine....

Could also just be that the generic 1st-3rd Class Soldier enemies are getting more unique designs to make them more distinguished than like the Grunt troopers.

That's what I'm thinking. Like even if he gets a name, he could still just be a boss and they thought it would be better to have a SOLDIER with a face for a boss rather than the mask.

I never got to play Crisis Core, so I had no idea who that was. I did watch videos on youtube though. I just want to see more connections to other Crisis Core characters. As much as I see people not liking Genesis, it would be cool to see references of him and Angeal. Especially with the scenes of Zack and Cloud. Maybe even have Sephiroth have a flashback of him messing around with the two

Kunsel seemed like such a nice guy. He didn't strike me as some show-off on a motorcycle. He said that he even cried when watching LOVELESS. Kunsel and Luxiere were so sweet in Crisis Core that the new SOLDIER guy seems like a big departure from how they acted in CC. That being said, I wouldn't not welcome the new SOLDIER being Kunsel or Luxiere. And, I have only seen a little bit of the new SOLDIER, so who knows.

My guess is that its not a new character in the sense of the Turks, but rather a pseudo-generic character meant to represent a particular segment of society (kinda like Johnny was a generic representation of Midgar slum denizens). Whoever this guy is, is simply meant to represent what a non-plot important SOLDIER thinks of all this craziness of FF7. Could he be given a CC name? *shrugs* Maybe. Maybe not.

Obviously this is based on nothing but my own opinion at this point.
