That's an interesting thought. And to be fair, it's rare for developers to get the opportunity to go out with a bang. But yeah, they do appear to be putting a lot into this. And early impressions are that it's incredibly good. So I've got a lot of hope for it as well.

I was very pessimistic after the first announcement for the remake and then the long period of silence, and given SE's track record with the development of FFXV, etc. E3 has brought me around, though, and I am very excited for the remake. If they can keep the number of games to maybe 3 games, and release them within a reasonable amount of time (like 2 years between each game similar to big movie franchise releases), I think the remake could be something special. But I agree that SE needs to figure out a way to keep the momentum going.

It's hard for me to even consider beyond this first part at the moment. If they can nail this, I think it'll say a lot.
