Well we don’t even know which Final Fantasy VII they’re talking about. Silly reporters included it in a list of movies, which means they think a 3-disc CD-ROM is a movie, or they think “Advent Children” (or “Dirge of Cerberus” ) is the surtitle of the 7th Final Fantasy movie, and don’t know how to fucking google. The journalism fail is more frontpage worthy than an anti-American radical indulging in a thorough critique of runaway capitalism.

well, i assume he was pirating all these things, and you could buy a 'movie' of ffvii from places like ebay which was just the fmv clips on a dvd so maybe that's what he had

Tbh, I'm not even happy that this piece of information has its own thread. Regardless of whether or not Bin Laden played FFVII, regardless of whether or not this is indicative of how 'human' the terrible people of the world can be, this man is still responsible for the deaths of thousands. He was a terrorist who ruled by fear and by keeping the people the people around him ignorant and illiterate, so for me that really nixes the point of the game being found among his personal files. I don't think it's worthy of a thread, and I definitely don't think it's worthy of being on the front page.

Am I being horribly biased? Yes. Am I sorry for it? No.
