As it says, animated films that is, not Dreamworks's other projects. As a quick reminder:

Pixar - Toy Story, Bug's Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, the Incredibles, Cars, WALL-E, Up

Dreamworks - Prince of Egypt, Shrek, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Megamind, Madagascarr, Shark Tale

pixar is really consistently beautiful you really can't vote against it

on the other thing some things dreamworks has made has been really moving like how to train your dragon, which was really beautiful and makes me tear up when i think about it

Pixar, hands down. You gotta love them beautiful animation.

Dreamworks has good ones too, tbh, and I usually find most their jokes funnier than Pixar's in a random/wacky sense. But Pixar's humor has more thought put into it, imo.

I didn't like UP that much. /dodges bricks/ This actually is hard for me to choose between. I freaking love the movie Antz. It always makes my day omg I'm totally watching that tonight. And How To Train Your Dragon was cute and amazing and it never gets old. ;w; Not to mention there's The Road to El dorado and Shrek. So much love for those. <3

However... Pixar's got a lot more than just cute/funny movies that happen every once in awhile. Pixar usually almost always produces good shit. And I love all of the Toy Stories. Wall E was fucking brilliant. Ratatouille was adorable. <3 On the bad side, both Cars and Finding Nemo definitely make it to my most hated movies list. I seriously cannot stand those movies -if it's on in a room I'd have to leave, lol. Dreamworks has created some crap too, but with those ones they are easier to ignore besides maybe Madagascar, which is like nails on a chalkboard for the lack of a better way to show my dislike for it. :monster:

So yeah tough choice, tough choice.

Hmm it's either Sherk, Sherk 2, Sherk 3, Sherk 4, Puss and Boots and problery Sherk 5, Sherk 6, Sherk 7 and a spin-off involving Donkey coming in 2012- 2014

or stories that are deep and emotional and are not afraid to take risks when it comes to children's movies, that are also deep, provoking and original...

Hmm... tough choice >>

Though Dreamworks are starting to head down the sequel chain like Dreamworks which is rather disappointing. ):

Pixar all the way, baby, for reasons already described.

Dreamworks isn't all bad, but Pixar has been more consistent in putting out quality stuff. Reminds me of Squaresoft in the '90s, actually.... *wipes away tear*

Being an animator is kind of my life dream. In that regard, I wouldn't mind working for either. I saw an interview with someone at Dreamworks describing how they're a family and how much fun they have working hard at projects and then when the movie releases the company throws a big party with the movie's theme. For How to Train Your Dragon, everybody wore viking helmets to work.

I wanna wear a viking helmet to work! :sadpanda:

The majority of the Dreamworks movies are stupid. Shark Tale? The Shrek sequels? Only very few are of any quality, like HTTD.

Pixar all the way.

And fuck me sideways and on Mondays, I LIKED Cars (Cars 2 was so-so...), so there.

I agree with you c: Cars has the same heart and the same emotion that the other Pixar movies provoke, though it gets looked down upon because it looks well... stupid xD

find Dreamworks films to be a bit too adverising and pop culture driven. Sharks tale for example... what a huge load of shit. Just throw any bit of product placement up there, or crobar it a song (Carwash... because he works at a whalewash). Shrek was at least clever with it, but they should have stopped after the second.

Pixar is about quality every time... well, except cars 2 lol

With the exceptionof Cars and Cars 2, everything Pixar has ever made is pretty much a masterpiece.

Though Dreamworks has gotten better lately, the majority of their early lineup was pretty mediocre and Shrek continues to be one the least funny/most mind-numbing franchises ever made.

The Prince of Egypt was fucking rad though. It was so good I keep forgetting that it was actually a Dreamworks movie. Well worth tracking down and watching.

I keep forgetting that that actually exists.

Thanks for casting a dark cloud over my day.

I'd say Pixar but when I think about movies that are my favourites they come up Dreamworks. HTTYD, Antz, Prince of Egypt...

To me Pixar is consistent and Dreamworks either makes something good or something crappy. But when they do make good... it's just brilliant.

I went with Pixar. Though I did enjoy some of Dreamworks' like the Kung Fu Panda films and Puss in Boots(the only Shrek-related thing I saw in it's entirety).

UGH Cars....I mean, I could forgive it if it could be consistent, but there are planes in it too? Wouldn't the planes just take over everything because they can fly? And then there are little flies that are also cars?! What? /overthinking

Anyway pixar wins, though to be honest I'm getting a little bit tired of all these CG movies.

Dreamworks has some good ones, but Pixar has been more consistent with its quality. Certain exceptions do apply.

I like PoE, Panda, and ANTZ, though.
