Dreamworks has had some films that I have liked, but Pixar has had films I have loved and made me bawl like a freaking 2 year old. I just find that for the most part, it's been Pixar films that were able to really touch my deepest inner feelings of fear, pain, abandonment, failure, and then turn the whole thing around into something incredibly beautiful and poignant and come full circle.

Who made gnomeo and juliet? ugh that was dificult to watch

Touchstone pictures I think xD They usually release the movies that seem too adult to come under the Disney name, like Nightmare before Christmas used to be, before it got poplaur. Though Gnomeo and Juliet looked like it was made for 3 year olds and retards. >_>

I like them both for different reasons. There are some Dreamworks films that I love more than the Pixar films but a lot of Dreamworks I absolutely hate, so I guess I'd choose Pixar, but myeh it's close.

Well, dreamworks does have some darn good movies to its name. SHreks 1 and 2, and to a lesser extent the 4th Shrek. Ants and the road to el derado also come to mind. ANd god help you if you didn't like Chicken run and Kung-fu panda.

But Pixar is a strong contender. The toy story trilogy is among the best movies ever IMO. Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Wall-E and UP.

Really I like both. They have both contributed some of my favourite movies of all time, and even the movies I didn't care for so much ussually kept me entertained the first time through. Really, between the two they've only made a few movies I dislike at all.

So yeah, I love both.

I can't believe there's even any debate about this. Though, judging from the poll results, there isn't much. Pixar has an astounding number of basically perfect films.

If you didn't cry during Wall-E and Up! then you have no soul.
I'm going to have to add Toy Story 3 to this list. But yeah, agreed.

To the "if you have no soul" concept, if you didn't cheer when the Aliens activated the claw. You know the scene, and you know you did.

I'd throw Toy Story 2 in before that. Manly tears were shed over 'When Somebody Loved Me'.

Anyway... Pixar without a shadow etc.
