Gamefaq has been doing these polls for literally YEARS. A lot of the same games surface quite frequently. In 2015 it makes more sense for people to vote on SSBM because a higher percentage of people visiting gamefaqs are looking for strats/exploits etc on a game still widely used in competitions. Cloud9 even has a ssbm team (mainly one guy) still active.
