I'm probably gonna obsess over getting that shiny owl, and I'm so happy that the archery form was confirmed for him, because I friggin' love it. Best. (I am sorry for my girlfriend though, 'cause she wanted the kitten to keep all his paws on the ground).

Decidueye

Type: Grass/Ghost

The Arrow Quill Pokémon Decidueye is the fully evolved form of the Grass- and Flying-type first-partner Pokémon Rowlet. Decidueye attacks with astonishing speed, plucking arrow quills from its wings to send them hurtling towards its target with precise aim. This Pokémon is able to move about whilst completely masking its presence from others. Decidueye is the only Pokémon that can learn the move Spirit Shackle. This new Ghost-type move hits an opponent and makes it unable to leave the battle—it can’t flee or switch out.

Incineroar

Type: Fire/Dark

The Heel Pokémon Incineroar is the fully evolved form of the Fire-type first-partner Pokémon Litten. As Incineroar’s fighting spirit increases, the flames it produces within its body burst from its navel and waistline. These flames resemble a championship belt, which it uses to unleash its moves. Incineroar is the only Pokémon able to learn the move Darkest Lariat. This new Dark-type physical attack allows Incineroar to deal damage to an enemy whilst ignoring the effects of any stat changes on that enemy.

Primarina

Type: Water/Fairy

The Soloist Pokémon Primarina is the fully evolved form of the Water-type first-partner Pokémon Popplio. As Primarina dances, it releases balloons of water and controls their movement using the sound waves from its voice. Primarina uses some of these balloons to jump on and maneuver in battle whilst others explode when touched, which can trigger chained explosions. Primarina is the only Pokémon that can learn Sparkling Aria, a new Water-type special move which heals the burns of any target it strikes.

Does anyone find it a bit weird to have Vulpix and Ninetails as Ice Types and not the normal Fire-Types? I mean, it does make sense to not have that much of fire-types in Alola since it's always hot, but to make fire-type Pokemon into Ice-Types is just....weird.

I know his type isn't technically fighting, but I really wish they would get off this decade-long kick of the fire-starter becoming a fighty-guy but with fire. After Typhlosion all the fire-starter evolutions have been dumb, imo.

^ Totally agree with this. It they kept a firetype on quad-pedal (like, the whole time) might actually make for a nice change too.

Also, Vulpix/Ninetales aren't the only ones to change into ice-types. There's just a region of Alola that's snowy, I think.

Pokemon Sun and Moon are the new Final Fantasy 7

I know this is sort of out of the blue considering how the two franchises are unrelated, but Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon is almost just like Final Fantasy VII.

Here's why:

The Aether Foundation is on Organization company that researches Pokemon like how ShinRa researched on Jenova. Both have Presidents and get this, the Aether Foundation is not only female(which is one of the minor differences) but is also an antagonist and a parent. She plotted to use one Legendary Pokemon as a sacrifice to summon Ultra Beasts into the Pokemon world, similiar to how Sephiroth summoned Meteor.

The Ultra Beasts are similiar to Jenova and their home world is similiar to the Northern Crater to get to Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII. The young female antagonist is similiar to Aerith, without magic and such but grows stronger through out the game due to the playable character's actions like how Cloud inspired Aerith. Difference being here, the girl named Lillie in Sun and Moon doesn't die and neither does the bad chick who is also in charge of the leader of Team Skull who secretly worked for her.

Pokemon are frozen as experiments similiar to how Jenova was kept in a tank in the Mako Reactor in Nibelhiem.

The female prez merges herself with one of the Ultra Beasts that turns her into a monster which sort of reminds me of how Sephiroth transformed several times during the final battles against him.

What do you think about this?

My team currently consists of Rowlet, Pikipek, and munchlax. I've thrown every other pokemon I've caught into the box. I'm training those three upto level ten and then I'll go to this school thinger.

I cannot stand the professors assistant in this region otherwise I'm having fun.

Although I am lagging far behind GLD and the roommate. I seem to have a short attention span these days and a lot of things I need to do. Whereas GLD plays the game like he does any other, with great dedication, and the roommate is so obsessed that even GLD gets worried sometimes. (Should that be get's or gets? Contractions confuse me sometimes.)

GLD btw, loves that his little kitty is going to become a bipedal dark wrestling type.

I'm nuzlocking this thing on my first go. My rules this time call for only capturing new Pokemon, Alolan forms of old Pokemon not included.

I've already lost a lot of Pokemon. At one point, Torracat was the only Pokemon that I had left and I had just finished the first island, so I trained him like mad just to make sure that he wouldn't die until I could catch another Pokemon. It's a good thing that I did, too, because I was forced into a battle with a guy who used a Slowpoke before I could continue. If my Torracat wasn't a high enough level to know bite, then that Slowpoke would've wrecked him with his water gun.

Got my copy in the post yesterday here in the UK. Booted it up this morning to give it a whirl. I know that some people have been a little annoyed with the opening online (as they've just wanted to run straight into the game proper) but I'm really enjoying the tutorial intro to the game.

I've always gone for a Fire starter on every gen, but this time, I just had to go with Rowlett.

Really looking forward to giving this a really good bash before XV comes out.

Though without the hat and a few differences, but I see a resemblance right here!

^ Mte. I'm so glad character customization is a thing now because this was me when I first saw that hat:

Yeah, the female character player's hat did look a little ridiculous, didn't it? But I rather liked the rest of her outfit you started out wearing in the original Sun and Moon games, though.

Really curious on just how different the storyline in the Ultra versions of the game really is, though.
