It looks like a new pokemon series is coming out this October.

All I can say I am excited because after many seasons of Ash and no development at all in his journey I think I can speak for many fans who would like to see something a little different.

I really wanna see this Origins, this is something I hope is long term that covers the 2nd, 3rd and 4th gens with actual development rather than just hanging out with pikachu.

I think that's the top thing they went wrong with Pokémon is the fact that they keep on using Ash and never think of doing what Digimon does which is every season will be a reboot.


I also find it irritating how each season they resort to Ash time and again acting like a noob instead of a seasoned trainers. What's even more annoying is the fact that they refuse to age him or write lazy ways to prevent him from winning a tournetment.

Rebooting every season sucks too. I understand they would have hit a wall with Ash eventually, but they could have "levelled him" and his opponents up.

I feel the nostalgia of both Kamen Rider and Pokemon thanks to the narrator's voice.

I'm imagining heavily now the narrator saying "Pokemon Ride - D-D-D-Dragonite!!" and the like!

Now I wonder if the female player will appear in this special. I also like that they are having Charmander as the starter. It would be great to get some focus off of Pikachu for a while.

As for this series, I probably won't watch it just like a bazillion other things I don't watch, but if it is any good, I might at least try to watch it.

It didn't bother me in most cases, but it did in some. Especially since they established that not ALL pokemon do (e.g. Charizard), why the hell would "Mr. Mime" actually say that? Wouldn't you think the Pokemon would be mute and that's why people named it that? (Though I realize he has a cry in the games too).

Ho. ly. shit. I have to say I've had a passing interest in this and everything, but they freakin had me at the violin playing the Rival theme from Red and Blue. I LOVED that song as a kid (and it's been my phone ringtone several times). Super awesome - especially followed by the final battle theme.

I wonder if they'll call him Blue in English? (Honestly, doesn't Blue make more sense for the guy that picks Squirtle?)
