Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver

DATS RIGHT MUTHAFUCKAS Pokemon Gold and Silver are FINALLY getting the remake we all hoped.

Checking out serebii's (the most reliable Pokemon website) info on the games, they were only recently announced a few days ago and will be released in autumn for Japan, and early 2012 for NA. They will probably be released on 21st of November, the 10th anniversary of their namesakes.

A new female trainer is being introduced with atrocious pigtails and hat >< rather than the old female trainer from the Crystal game. The male seems to be an updated version. Similar to D/P whichever gender you choose, the opposite will serve as a supporting role.

The new and imo best feature that will be in HG/SS, is something similar to Pokemon Yellow. Shown in the video below, is a Chikorita following the male trainer, so you will most likely be able to interact with your leading Pokemon.

All in all. Fuck. Yes.

But Gold and Silver were my favorite games back when I was a kid. It's great to see them remade.

G/S were definitely the best of the series imo. I hope they stick to the original and let you travel back to Kanto and battle Ash's spammed up super Pokemons on Mt Silver. =DDDD

Agreed. G/S/C were the best. They were my favorites too, and Yellow. The ones after that were boring and fail. They made us jump to a whole new world entirely. I don't even remember what they're called. Emerald? Ruby?

Yeah, but it was too different and too new. Too many new Pokemon to get used to. And it was just really boring for me. I couldn't care less about the new characters.

G/S/C were just awesome. The new and the old mixed together well. Oh, and the music was win too IMO.

Pokemon Platinum is awesome BTW. Not as awesome as the old ones...but still awesome. TOUCH SCREEN FTW

Yeah but the same can be said of the 4th gen as the 3rd gen. But the 3rd gen had awful Pokemons. Granted 4th does have some bad ones too, but taking the ability to get over older Pokemons, and now to connect to the 2nd gen just makes it epic.

OMFG RED GYRADOS. I know it's nothing special but I loved that part of the game. <3

RED GYARADOS FTW Actually, I love how cool Gyarados is. I never fail to catch or obtain one in any of my PKMNZ version.

About the music again... I can't wait to see their remake of the music!


The 4th gen isn't so bad. It was probably the graphics that kept me going though. The 3rd gen was...ehh. The starters weren't even as cute as the 2nd gen, plus the starting pkmn you can catch weren't interesting and/or strong at all. And it's a pain leveling them up when you don't even like them. DX

I no like the 3rd gen.

2nd gen had all the awesomest PKMNS IMO. And the storyline was cool, in a way.

I hate the starting Pokemon in the first area in all the games. A bird, a worm and a rat of some kind. One can basically eat the other if you don't train them well.

But I think regarding starters, after the 1st gen, the 2nd gen are definitely the best. I dunno whether to pick Cyndaquil or Chikorita D=. The Rival though was probably the gayest looking of all the bunch with that flaming red shoulder length hair. I can't wait to see him.

THE MUSIC <333 So much.. 2nd gen really introduced a lot for us and then took away.. dual regions, breeding center (brought that back in 4th gen), the apricote pokeballs (Can't wait for that too =DD), the time of day thing (brought that back too)...

Are you able to breed a gold magikarp? I remember trying before, but it was just normal.

You can breed shiny Pokemon, but your chances of getting another shiny, are about halfed of what the regular is. I have a shiny Ditto in the breeding center and I get dick all.
