Portal 2

Looks like valves taking portal seriously now since the suprise success of the first. I love how the lab's rebuilding itself and I love the music.

Did anyone else see the Companion Cube when the fireball goes plummeting and screaming into the abyss?

I hope the game is like those 3 minutes of footage, but I suspect its a 3D puzzler? I never played the first.

I have to point out that the Robot doesn't come through the portal feet first and that's confusing, but I'm totally stoked for this.

the original Portal has become required "reading" at Wabash College

http://kotaku.com/5620646/portal-becomes-required-reading-at-wabash-college

Michael Abbott, the proprietor of video game blog The Brainy Gamer and a teacher at the small liberal arts college found himself part of a committee last year tasked with creating a new all-college course devoted to "engaging students with fundamental questions of humanity from multiple perspectives and fostering a sense of community." The course would gather together classic and contemporary works across multiple disciplines in order to have students "confront what it means to be human and how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and our world."

All in all the game looks like a brilliant continuation from the last although i would have loved to see another orange box as well but meh whatever.

Lol at the Steam engine's many, many physics glitches. Of course, it was one of the first (if not THE first) engine that actually had a physics engine (and was the one that made physics awesome), so I guess it can be forgiven.

And lol, accellerated backward hopping? :monster: I know you could move faster in UT '99 by sideways / diagonally dodge-jumping all the time, looks similar.
