Not a big fan of the ending :/

I didnt like what they did with glados' character. I would have prefered the turrets kills her.

And the credits song sucks :(

But the multiplayer is fucking awesome. It's fun as hell, and you can fuck with your friend.. hehehe

Some SLIGHT spoilers in terms of locations really. But you arnt actually goign to have any plot or anythign spoiled

The tank fight was TENSE.

Working my way through rather quickly. Nearing the end of 70s Aperture,
Glados is about to figure out what you did from the moment you stepped into the place. Namely, that she's Carolyn or based on her in some way.
. Would be easier with fewer random CTDs, but given my GPU was acting up just wednesday, not sure if it's the game's fault. At least it's kind with the autosaves.

Loved the trolling sequence with the companion-y cubes. I even went back and grabbed a cube just so I could see how Glados would be a dick when she said the disintegrator didn't work.

Also, even the Old Aperture labs show some signs of recent use. I find that interesting.

Just beat it. Quite enjoyed it, and I'm satisfied with the ending, only because I read this article on what Portal 2 almost was right after getting to the Cave Johnson section, and think that this would make a really interesting idea for a third game in the series.

Also, multiplayer is AWESOME.

Beat it earlier today. Convinced now that My install went buggy somehow. The latter section of the game buggy, especially old aperture. Must reinstall and try and fix.

Addendum: Re: that spoiler pic, this just ads fuel to a theory I've had since the first game. And given Glados, a LOT of fuel.

Y'know, I want to play the early 50s Aperture prequel, and Chell's post aperture adventures too.

Could someone who got the PS3 version explain to me how the Steam code works?

I had a couple people buy the PS3 today because we were sold out of the PC. My understanding is, if you just wanted the PC and were going to give the disc to a friend who had a PS3, that you make a PSN account, put in the code, and then it'll give you a Steam code? Or is the code you get the Steam code already?

Just want to make sure I'm explaining it to customers right and I didn't have time to read the fine print today cause of how busy it was.

I only got the pc version, but this is what someone said on gamefaqs when someone was asking.

"You have to log onto the game on your ps3, hit select once the game has started to bring up steam, and login to your steam account on the ps3.

After that, you go on your PC and put the code into steam."

That seems to be what I'm finding too. So sounds like as long as a friend has a PS3 for you to create an account and activate it on, it works.

Cool. Though hoping we get restocked with PC sooner rather than later. Nice to see us getting lots of PC copies of a game and it actually selling, rather than sitting around forever like most stuff seems to.

So is Portal 2 worth getting?

And how much of it is online?
Does it stand up on single player alone?

Also I never played the first one, will I be able to understand what’s going on?

Honestly if you look up a quick summary of the first game you'll be fine. The story is great, but it's not very long or detailed. Game is more about the immersive aspect.

You could probably beat both the single player and the coop with a friend on one rental (if you're going console). The coop is pretty amazing, I do recommend if you can get a friend together and it does support split screen.

But if you just wanted to play single that's amazing too. Just short.

Yes.

The whole of Co-op mode is online, and the user created maps will only expand on this.

IMO it does.

Yes. In addition to what Brooke said, there's a comic book set between the games which also helps. get you up to speed and in the right frame of mind.

Oh! And a pressing question that's spoileriffic for those of you who haven't beaten it.

Aperture labs, Upper portion of Lower Michigan, or Annexed Wisconsin? I'm guessing the latter, myself, given the clipping did say upper michigan.

I'll be getting the PS3 version, is the comic on the disc or not?

Because I was looking forward to the interactive comic on Mass Effect 2 but you had to download that. Damn DLC. <_<

Would like to try out co-op but PSN's still down, so yeah.

The Binary on Chell's profile does say what you probably think it does, BTW.

Also, this is the best bit of dialogue in the game imo.

Yeah, I wanna get me some CoOP trophies/Achievements.

Oh, and
the newspaper clipping was from the UP times, so yeah, it was the upper penninsula.

Co-op's fun, but not as hard as I thought it was going to be. i still need the acheivement for completing the opening part with someone who hasn't played it yet :/

Joe and I were going through it.

It's not difficult to do the puzzles, but some take a bit of thinking and it's fun to figure them out with a friend.

Smashing your bots together on world four was hilarious

That achievement though, going to have to find some forums with people who are trying to help others get it.

Depending on how the online works, that might be as simple as using a different profile on your PS3 to sign in as a 'new' player.

I loved that part.

Most of Cave's lines are absolutely amazing. I love all the ones that end up with him firing people.

I also have to admin that I purposefully died on the final battle a few times just listening to the corrupt personality cores. Oh my god, they're fantastic: Space Personality Core (FULL), Adventure Personality Core (FULL), & 'Factual' Personality Core (FULL).

I was secretly hoping that you'd get to attach GLaDOS to the gigantic potato battery in the science experiment area.
