Love that some of my tastes are reflected in this thread. Adding another Lorenna Mckennitt: The Highwayman

I shed a single manly tear for that song sometimes. Also a classic song, Siuil A Run (though I only like some performances).

"You are my Sunshine" as sung by Norman Blake.

The other night dear, as I lay sleeping
I dreamed I held you in my arms
But when I awoke, dear, I was mistaken
And I hung my head and I cried.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

I'll always love you and make you happy,
If you will only say the same.
But if you leave me and love another,
You'll regret it all some day:

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

You told me once, dear, you really loved me
And no one else could come between.
But not you've left me and love another;
You have shattered all of my dreams:

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

In all my dreams, dear, you seem to leave me
When I awake my poor heart pains.
So when you come back and make me happy
I'll forgive you dear, I'll take all the blame.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away

I mean damn.....

This song by Hajime Mizoguchi, from the Escaflowne soundtrack, always gets to me:

From Vangelis' "Blade Runner" sountrack, "Rachel's Song" and "Memories of Green":

This song, is a personal one. Though it may not be the saddest song on earth it is for me. On my grandfather's funeral I kept listening to this song, when we were taking him off to the Cemetery. Now, everytime I listen to this I remember that moment and my grandfather. The lyrics explain pretty much what I felt that day:

I'm liking the quantity of Loreena McKevitt in dis fred.

@ Ace: Eric Clapton's son fell to his death when the cleaner left the apartment window open. He ran to it, not realising it was wide open. Tears in Heaven is such a sad song.

I'm not going to post a YouTube link as CBA and my netbook doesn't like the amount of vids and the fact that this website doesn't run particularly quickly anyway. So:
Exogenesis Symphony Part III by Muse. I think I want this at my funeral. Every fucker in that room had better be crying. :p
