Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is the live action version of the Sailor Moon story. If you haven't seen it yet, a great website is http://kirari-pgsm.net for all things PGSM.

If you aren't sure about it... just watch it. Don't think about it, just do it. Get through the first few episodes of silliness. Yes the Luna CGI is silly. Yes Usagi is silly (but she's kind of suppose to be). After you get through the first couple episodes it starts to get really good. I mean tear jerking you feel for the characters and love them and can't stop watching kind of good.

And... discuss. :monster:

Oh, and please keep spoiler stuff in tags, cause a lot of people on the forums are watching for the first time. Being specific about the spoilers (episode or something) would be nice too.

I've heard about it, and seen some small snippets. I probably should watch it in its totality.

While I'm a fan of Sailor Moon, I am not a mega-fan.

I do have the manga in its entirety, and still have to read a good portion of it.

As well, I've watched a good portion of the anime (a lot of things I missed) and know more than the basics, I'd say.

Still, it's great to see a Sailor Moon fan here. :)

Very interesting. I just may have to check this out.

I've never really watched the original show or read the manga, though. I've seen a couple episodes and one of the movies while babysitting once, but that's it.

It is far better than the anime or manga. Not to say they aren't good, but the live action has a lot more serious moments and is a lot easier to relate to the character.

i mostly only watched the tuxedo mask special

1. tuxedo mask is pretty hot in this incarnation, on par with his glasses-wearing first season look in the manga
2. there is something amazing about a transformation sequence of a dude just putting on a suit

I'll be checking this out soon. Mostly because I'm so sad and ronery right now(T.T) and the thought of watching something at the same time as you guys makes me :).

Thanks for the rec, Balthea.

I watched this show a few months ago and I liked it, although I laughed a lot at it.

It's a bit different from the original, and sailor Venus is different from the one in the anime. She's still my favourite character though <3, and I got upset/sad when
she dies near the end of the series, but she gets better :awesome:
.

Oh, I also watched the Special Act - that is set four years later - and Act Zero, that shows some stuff before the main series and other things that happened during it.

I got upset/sad

This is an understatement for me. I was in tears. How dare they
Kill one of the members of my OTP and then make me watch Mars cry like that! Then having Mars use her tambourine... and Venus use hers in the movie... oh man that really got to me.

I saw most of the series, not sure if I finished it. But yeah, once you get passed the cheesy CG, then you just go with it. I fancy Mars and Mercury :3 Yup..

About cheesy CG with mid series spoilers:
I'd trade the crappy CG any day for no Sailor Luna. Probably the only thing I hated about the show, mind you it seemed like she was never meant to be taken seriously anyways. However, I always liked Luna, and if they wanted her to have a human form, she should have been a lot older than the senshi.
