That's what I was thinking when I wrote that, lol
. But it seems to start to become a trend already - the 360 had different 'versions', for example. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the next generation's consoles have different versions as well, but then in terms of hardware, which can produce better graphics depending on the version of the console. But yeah, that would be rather ridiculous, really.
Consoles should remain simple, imho. I'm no fan of the recent ps3 / 360 developments with optical stuff and motion detection (read: them attempting to follow the Wii), but then, I'm hardly representative for the mass consumer,
