Reference pics: Requests

I use references a lot, and for certain pieces of art I'm doing I often need like 4-5 of them to complete the sketch. It might be various things like furniture, shoes, hands, bodies in a certain position, you name it... and sometimes I have a hard time finding a proper reference.

So I was thinking that if someone needs a ref pic and can't find one, maybe there's someone here who has one stored they can upload to Imgur or similar? (Or even if they have the direct link?) I've just recently started drawing again so I don't have that much (mostly random images of men in suits ) but I might be able to help with searching for stuff.


The motivation for writing this right now is that I need a pic of a male, front-view, in a shirt where one or both of the arms (doesn't matter which one) is pulled up to his elbow, the cufflings (sp?)/ buttons on the lower part of the arm open. It's a hard to do how the fabric crumbles around the elbow, so I'm getting a little bit desperate... maybe somebody can help me?

It might be better to just get a photo of open cuffs, and another one of rolled up sleeves and merge the two together.

Also is anyone else sick of searching for reference pics and getting loads of crappy results for second life clothing?!

Well... actually I had this image in my mind, but now I'm not so sure I guess where I'm getting at is that the sleeve has been rolled up once (so it sticks) and then just pushed back over the arm. (Because, you know, he doesn't want his sleeves bloody ) I found this pic, which I guess was sort of what I was looking for - other than that I want it to look like it's done in a hurry. Getting Mr. Fangu to do it is plan B, but he's not home at the moment

I'll admit he's a little pretty, but the colouring just seemed right, I could tweak this and use it as a Tseng reference, just man it up a bit Thats probably an advertisement for the watch he's wearing but its like: 'BUY THIS WATCH' '....buh? what watch? Theres a watch? Ohh the watch okay then'

I look at it like this, if a white person said that they'd never date/sleep with anyone who wasn't white I'd think it was racist, so for someone else to say they'd only go with a certain race is just as bad. Like its a moot point for me but I wouldn't rule any race out except maybe Vogons or something.

I guess having a fetish for a particular race is ok sometimes provided its not to the exclusion of all else. Also some people take fucking liberties, I can't find it anywhere now, but there was a blog of 'stuff you shouldn't say to asian women' and most of it was meant to be flirty stuff, but just came across as racist and ignorant. 'me ruv you rong time' springs to mind :/

I'd say no. I mean - it's not really a sexual fetish, is it? Some girls and guys just like people of a specific look. It does sound a bit strange though, if you're ONLY into, say, redheads, and can't imagine yourself with a brunette. That just sounds a bit weird.

I guess it's more the cultural thing than the 'looks' thing that can give the impression that it's not good. As in if a guy only likes Asian girls because he thinks then she can cook for him. Or something. But if he's attracted to her looks then... I don't know. IMO most people are attracted to all sorts of people. My bf's ex was of Asian origin (not getting into country her bc of privacy) but now he's with me. He found her super hot and now he thinks I'm super hot (edit: as he could find us both hot). But because he's been with a girl with her looks, he's maybe more probable to find a girl of her origins attractive? (Edit: Because he remembers the good times and found her beautiful both on the outside and inside, so there are like good associations. Not sure if I'm saying this right.) I don't know. Maybe he'd even prefer it but this country is overfloating with white girls, so

I kind of think so. I dunno, to be with someone simply because they are <insert race> is sort of demeaning? There's a line between fetish and preference though. It's one thing to have a preference for a certain race and it's a whole different thing when it's a fetish and you just want to have sex with them because of their race.

My friend has a preference for Japanese men. But, she's dated spanish and white guys, too and it wasn't like she was any less attracted to them. Not to mention, she won't date any Japanese man. She dated one Japanese guy and he was a total sicko so she dumped him.

No idea if that explains it well, but I tried. :T
