They hyped Re5 to a level that it was never going to meet expectations. It was an ok game but a big disappointment after all the shit they talked.

They didn't even include all of the gameplay features they said they would.

I think RE5 is a great game. It's incredibly fun and while it falls just a bit short of RE4's epicness it's still amazing. It truly delivers on being a fun game and I'm still playing the shit out of it. The story's the usual B-Movie stuff you find in RE so I'm not really disappointed. The only thing that bugged me a bit was the new stuff they added regarding Wesker's past but in the grand scheme of things...who gives a shit?

Among all of the games released this generation, Re5 isn't "amazing" at all. It's a fun little game, that's it. The storyline isn't even worth mentioning. And no, it's not my fault for not getting what they promised.

And Sherry's presence in the damn game isn't a goddamn spoiler. There's an Re2 section in the game, of course she'll be there, and she's in the goddamn trailer ffs.

Oh gtfo. It's more than a "fun little game." The game's good. Don't sit there and tell me it doesn't have one of the best incarnations of Mercenaries to date, and its replay value and gameplay isn't extremely well done. If you're hurt by its story, fine, but as a game it's solid. The Co-op is fucking awesome too. In person as well as online.

The trailer for this looked interesting, although I don't have a Wii. If you could import on a Wii, I might think about getting one

Just don't expect it to be much like Re4 past the interface and controls.

Replayability is mostly in Mercenaries. The story mode gets old fast.

Doesn't do me much good, as I never really played Mercenaries much in the previous games either If I can get it for around £10-15, I might pick up RE5 today.

And look at how much a Wii goes for nowadays, since that's more in line with this topic.

Well it might have been brought up in the E3 thread but I was thinking it deserved its own topic.

I am majorly looking forward to this game. For two reasons.
1) Leon
2) Guess who's that in the background

Eve rsince the news of the new scenario supposedly set in South America with Leon, this was what I was hoping for and it looks lik emy hopes are true.

Also, here's a trailer for people who might not have seen it yet.

They have Leon's VA from RE4 back but a new one for Ada...so here's hoping they got back Krauser's VA. He did him perfectly.

The other scenarios look interesting too, though.

Are you serious? lol It's Krauser. You can see the scar and the shape of the head and profile are spot on.

Like I said, from the moment th enew scenario was announced, I predicted (and so did many others) it would show how Leon and Krauser knew each other and maybe how Krauser supposedly died two years before RE4.

I wonder if we'll have a Rebirth type mission with Krauser. You know in Umbrella Chronicles where you play human Wesker then you play Wesker after he gains his superpowers? Maybe we play human Krauser with Leon and then one where he has hadass blade-arm.
