TBH, I've never really hated Brian personally. No matter how flawed or unlikeable he is, I've always wanted to him succeed (ie change and become a better person).

Heck, everything Quagmire ranted about him is absolutely true, but granted, Brian has still made some good deeds regardless (eg helping out Santa with his work overload, and let's not forget Brian willingly giving up his own life to save Peter with that kidney transplant).

There are times I've felt bad for Brian, even if he did seem like a jerk. But killing him off...wow, that's some serious balls right there. I haven't seen the episode but I will do when I've time.

RIP Brian.

This just seems like an elaborate joke on the audience. Like we will have the new dog (Vinnie) around for a few episodes, then Brian will be back like nothing happened with no explanation. Just what it feels like, maybe I will be proven wrong.

One thing bothers me about Quagmire's Brian rant. He holds it against Brian that he wants to enjoy Lois as a woman. That is true about Brian, but that has also been shown to be true about Quagmire on numerous occasions. Just seems a little hypocritical for Quagmire to hold it against him.

To be honest, I'm don't really care much for Brian and I've been pretty indifferent to Family Guy for a few years now.

But reading some of the reactions on the #family guy tag on tumbr is pretty hilarious/face palm inducing. Being sad about a character dying is one thing, but going suicidal because Brian's dead or that his death is giving you PTSD? Oh please. I'm having flashbacks to when Snape died in Deathly Hallows Part 2 fans claimed that they got PTSD from the movie because of Snape.

If this is a stunt to make more people watch Family Guy...there's a small risk this will actually work on me. I stopped watching FG about two years ago. An episode like this peaks my interest, even with the always-existing-possibility that the character will be brought back.

One time on the Naruto forum I use to visit, a girl said she cried every night that Hidan died, couldn't sleep for weeks, raged at people who didn't like him, then told everyone she was killing herself to teach Kishimoto a lesson. She was back in a week or two.

Hidan, for those of you don't know, was a religious nutjob sociopathic mass murderer who killed a father to be, and was never written to be sympathetic. Some fans, you just got to let it go.

(Though I didn't think the new character was as bad as I had thought from the brief description I read, but it was only half an hour of seeing them.) Having Cousin Oliver brought in and accepted by the whole family like 10 minutes after you killed off his predecessor just seems like you can't live with upsetting your formula and had to GET A NEW GUY IN RIGHT AWAY!1
