Bonjour tout le monde~

You might have already seen me poking about in the forums, but I thought I'd introduce myself here properly regardless.

I'm a tree-hugging humanist who thinks empathy is the key to world peace. Despite my natural inclination towards optimism, my sense of humour tends to be on the darker side and frankly (oops!) mean. I have lost some friends over this...

Ironically enough, I first got into the FFVII fandom after seeing a commercial for Kingdom Hearts 2 and googling the full version of "Passion" by Utada Hikaru (love her). The first video to pop up via YouTube was an AMV of Advent Children and I said to myself, "Who are all these pretty people?!" and, well, rest is history. I say this is ironic because I largely consider myself an "FF7 Purist" nowdays, lol, but I can appreciate a lot of elements from the Compilation as a whole and I always respect what's canon.

Other random facts: My favourite book is Catch-22 though my favourite novelist is Neil Gaiman. Boromir's final scene in (the extended version) of The Fellowship of the Ring never fails to leave me teary-eyed. I find the human race endlessly fascinating, for we are capable of being so unspeakably brutal towards one another that it shakes you to the core, yet, we are also capable of being so loving and kind that it overwhelms the heart. Oh, and I hit people as a means of showing affection. I have lost some friends over this as well...

What else? Gorillaz is the best band ever. Looking forward to chatting with/getting to know you all!

Haha, you'd get along well with my brother by the by. Though I think he takes his love of cheese a bit too far. Once, my sister had made Indian style curry for the family and he ruined it by grating a ton of cheddar into it. I've never seen her look so offended...

Yes!! Almost messes me up as much as hearing the Shire theme. Am I the only one who gets suddenly emotionally devastated whenever I hear the "Shire" theme?? UGH! Such a long way from home. Such a long way from innocence.

Oh, thank you!! I'm going to take this opportunity to say that I absolutely adore your signature haha. Homemade?? Oooh, I adore homemade things. In fact, I have a strawberry patch in my garden that I would top my cakes with... I really ought to give the jam thing a shot.

^homemade jam is the best <3 Aaah a strawberry patch, it's so hard to grow strawberries where I live, lots of rain and slugs and bleh. I'd definitely recommend using some of your strawberries to make a jam.
