Deadman Wonderland is definetly creepy/disturbing enough to qualify. And the story isn't just there for the sake of the creepy/disturbing either, it actually goes somewhere.

If you're looking for bizarre/creepy manga (as opposed to gore), I can't recommend Fuan no Tane and Fuan no Tane Plus enough. They're manga series of very short stories (I think the longest is may be ten pages long?) about bizarre/creepy things people see in normal life. They're the closest I've seen to the traditional "ghost story" in a manga before. The creepyness is partially due to how nearly every story has a real place name and year identified with it...

I got a manga suggestion called Hellstar Remina and Uzumaki.

Uzumaki - I read the first volume of that years ago when I found one of my brothers owned it. It was pretty interesting. I had a look online just there for old times' sake, and I've discovered there's a live-action film to complement that

fuan no tane also has a live-action film, if one were willing to (i think it might have the english title 'pet peeve'? which doesn't make much sense to me but i guess is easier to say than the one the manga gave, 'SEED of THE @%#$?')
