/obligatory South Park reference/warning: the following is very TL;DR:

So, as I’ve announced numerous times, I’m leaving.

Some of you might ask “why”? Well, I’m sure it will be attributed to any number of unsavory accusations, most—if not all—boiling down to “bawwwww!” Believe those if you wish.

If I had to pick a list of reasons myself, however, I’d say; annoying arguments, butthurt, restricting rules/atmosphere, irritating staff, and this place just being a general chore. I mean, I’m no stranger to any of these things, as they happen all over the internet, but here, it had a tendency to border on the ridiculous.

The fan argument thing was a particular disappointment, because it’s hard to find FFVII fans with a functioning brain. But man, at a certain point, lighten the fuck up.

When I found out the translations I was getting were from a forum, I was pretty excited. FSTDT is great, & all, but there just aren’t that many FFVII fans around. You’d think the FF Wiki would be better, but more people hate it there than pretty much everywhere else. And some other things about the board were cool. Really cool, in fact. But all of these things put together did just not make up for the forum’s problems.
So, there is no one concept, person, or event I can point to & say, “That’s why I’m leaving.” Believe me, I’m not that petty. I’ve been kicking around whether or not I wanted to stay for a while, & I’ve just decided, I’ve had enough asspains here.

So, now that I’ve given my grievances as impersonally as possible, I’d like to make some shout outs:

You guys were alright. I hope you’ll contact me through other means, (I’ve left plenty—visit “my” site, God damn it! ) but fully understand if you don’t.

I will be restricting my conversations to this thread & this thread alone when it’s up. When it dies &/or is closed, that’s how you’ll know I’m finally gone for good.

The purpose of making a “goodbye” thread is twofold: 1, it makes it official, & 2, people can say whatever they want to me before I go, good or bad. Probably mostly bad.

But like I really give a shit. If I get a thousand “fuck off, bitch” posts, it only proves that it’s time for me to go all the more.

Or maybe I’m just an attention whore.

KissTheRain: You think I care? You don't just "change" a forum, 1 member usually does not influence the staff AT ALL, let alone the vast majority of members. If you don't like the way things are going, you leave. I learned that with AQF, & I don't intend to stick around here for months trying to get people to see what I was saying, like I did there. In all honesty, after reading up on some shenanigans on fucking ED of all places, I'm not entirely convinced that this place will last, with or without me.
