Everyone has their squicks, everyone has their kinks. Furryism is a kink that a large amount of people are unnaturally vocal about. It doesn't help that it is also a kink that many others fnd very squicky.

As a kink, I don't personally find it that bad so long it doesn't cross a certain line (hence the "scale"). There are much weirder things imo. But the fact that furry fandom has centred an entire fandom around a kink is a little wierd. Discussing kinks/fetishes, and even applying it to some fandoms isn't bad, but seeking fandoms that fit the fetish is just... I dunno. I mean, I'm not going to solely seek out fandoms that feature my fetishes, and I'm not going to shoehorn my fetishes into my existing fandoms. It's the obsession that makes furry fandom weird.

What I don't like about the furry fandom is the stereotypes that people pin on you. I'm a fan of anthro/kemonomimi, even sometimes in a sexual way, but not full-blown furry.
