Once they take over Capcom and Konami, I think they'd be a lot more superior.

No they wouldn't. they'd become a laughing stock. I mean seriously. Capcom? Capcom's got more gore for SE to take. I mean suppose they do. Capcom's RE series would turn into an RPG fest with level 1 zombies, demons and aliens. And whats worse I probably will see SE easter eggs in my RE game. DO NOT WANT.

Hahhahahhaha no way in hell is that going to happen in a long time.

Capcom's been making much more profit as opposed to SE who haven't been doing as well.

Buying a company often has very little affect on the games. I don't think this would ever happen and Capcom's in a much better position than SE right now. But even if it did, its not like SE would start making Resident Evil, they' just reap some of the profits.

And, does Eidos make anything other than Tomb Raider? What made them an attractive purchase?

I think it's safe to write off EA as the Microsoft of the game industry - they destroy everything they touch even though Microsoft is in the game industry as well, but come to think of it they're not as awful as EA when it comes to gaming
