Starting the Remake. Anything I should know?

So, apologies if there's a thread for this (had a quick look; didn't find anything) so feel free to merge if so, but anyways, I'll be starting the FF7R this week. Yeah, I'm super late on this. Only recently got the game (birthday gift back in October 2020) and only recently arsed myself to start (well, assigned a date to start). Mostly a sheer lack of arseness, time (ala Motherhood) and whatnot has been standing in my way. But, yay, I have some time (and arseness!)...so, anything I should keep in mind during my first foray into FF7 second foray?

Keep an open mind about the fact that things won't be exactly the same. I'd say that's the most important thing.

Focus abilities increase stagger.

Use Tifas triangle abilities to increase stagger % when an enemy is staggered.

More than half of the enemies are weak to lightning, so its safe to have lightning+elemental on at all times.

Pretty much all of the Cloud vs single human enemy boss fights can be won by being in punisher mode and holding the block button.

The only materia worth focussing on leveling up are the HP/MP/Magic ups, and the ones that increase ATB (this is mainly if you decide to go onto hard mode).
