Stats taking too long to load?

Anytime I click to the main forum page the stats at the bottom of the page for recent posts and most active this or that always remains blank as if it's either constantly refreshing or just being slow to load. Is anyone else having this problem or just me?

I've not had it happen recently but I have seen it before. Usually it goes away after a little while. How long has it been going on?

I've never had it stall that much. It doesn't always load immediately but it always loads after ten seconds at most.

I really wish my php skillz were good enough that I could take a look at the source and see what might be causing that. Too bad they're probably not.

A couple times I've loaded the main page and the stats just refused to load whatsoever. I left it open for more than twenty seconds, and even tried refreshing them. It's not every time though, just occasionaly.

Well I just opened the main forum page and counted to 30... and the stats still didn't show up.

Try with IE8. With firefox I can't see the stats eitheir, but with IE8 I can see them and it doesn't take any time to load.

Seems to be shitty AJAX / Javascript coding. What browzar(s) and versions are you using exactly?

I've got a suspicion that that script is a bit on the heavy side (in terms of server load), so that might asplain it a bit as well. Loads fast enough for me though.

Firefox 3. But I tend to leave the same window open for days so after I restarted the comp it was fine.

Firefox has issues with memory usage starting to phail after being open for too long. It's one reason I switched to Chrome.
