Hey all, hopefully I'm posting this in the right part of the forum.

So I want more people to experience Before Crisis, but sitting through a play through can get a little boring. My solution is to stream it so a group can watch together and chat during it.

Also, so far no one is online. If anyone is watching I'd appreciate it if they signed in to the chat so I know someone if there...I'm not going to steam if I'm alone and no one is watching sense the point is watching together.

Basically, I'm sitting here waiting for anyone to show. If no one does I'll turn it off and try back at a later time/date...

I'd love to join in. I've signed up on the site, but everyone's asleep here so I can't talk aloud. How does it work - is it text chat or video? If no one's around tonight, I'd love to have a go another time. Kudos to you for setting this up!

It will go on for a while. We only got through 3 episodes tonight, so it will be like a few episodes. Basically in story arc chunks. Today we got through the first three which basically introduces the characters and conflicts. You'll be able to hear what I say, although I'll warn you we paused for technical difficulty a few times and me playing dealing with my animals. Also, I didn't record the chat so at times you'll see me responding to the chat.

I won't be around tonight because I'm out for a Christmas meet up with friends. I'll drop in when I get back (probably about midnight my time, so about five your time) and see if you're still there, but if not I'll join the next one. If you're planning on doing the whole game there will be quite a few! It's a really good idea, because you can focus on the dialogue bits and then chat through the fights, which get boring if you watch the game alone on You Tube.

OK I'm totally up for joining in with this today (tonight for us in the UK XD), I've tried to watch through BC before and I fell asleep. I'm not even saying that for comedic effect or to exaggerate, I literally could not stay awake.

Anyway it'd be nice to be able to chat in the box and watch it at the same time. Looking forward to it.

40 minutes isn't much notice; this is the first time I have seen this thread and I'm already 12 hours late

I'd like to watch - it was fun when Yop played it a few months ago - but I probably won't have any time. If you get a proper schedule set up, add it to your opening post in this thread and we can link to it in the "happening now" box on the front page, which should give you a bigger audience.

^ This is Before Crisis though, not Crisis Core. So it's just watching a YouTube playthrough.

And yeah 40 minutes isn't a lot, 2-3 days are usually better. Also agree on the "Happening Now" Box, I'll edit it if I'm watching the stream. A schedule is ideal so we can announce it beforehand, though doing a schedule can sometimes be hard. (You ran the VII PT with an iron hand though, so you probably could!) Thanks for reminding me I have to come up with a better plan for that one Flint.

Lol at the iron hand bit. I started off that way, and we kept to a good schedule, but then I got more relaxed and it took us months to finish

Sorry for the lack of notice. I mainly talked about in the Turks fan thread. I don't know if I can set a schedule because I don't know what my schedule will be and I wanted flexibility to adjust to other people's schedules.

So how does the happening now thread work?

There's a little bar at the top of the news feed on the site's main page where we could add a notice that "Forum member CameoAmalthea is streaming Before Crisis right now. Click here to watch and join the discussion."

We could make better use of it if we knew a bit further in advance when you'll be able to stream, but if you're unsure of your schedule, that may not be so doable.
