Strongest person in the VII world

I mean who's the most powerful.

I know the main argument is Sephiroth.


But alot of people never had a fight, ie Sephiroth and Angeal never have a real battle. Genesis and Sephiroth a broke up.



Cloud has defeated Sephiroth but I only as Sephiroth dosn't believe he is worthy of his full strength.


Cloud is by the end of AC around the same strength as Zack at his full potential I'd think.



I'd like to try get a list together of who's the most pwerful and down through the strongest characters.

I'd think it would consist of Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth, Genesis, Vincent, Angeal, (apprantly) Weiss, Reno and Rude seem to be able to hold their own against Loz and Yazoo

Incidently, I'm under the impression that Genesis & Angeal are basically about as powerful as each other. Angeal's just more about physical power than magical power.

But I'm gonna throw a curve ball and say that after him, Nero would be the most powerful character in the series given that he's a walking fucking X-Zone and if you just look at him funny he'll consume you in his darkness and that'll be the end of it.

I'd say Cloud, with the caveat that he's unaware of his true power.

Were Cloud to unlock his full for more than brief spurts, he'd be strongest, and as is, he's still in the top ten.

But he can't, so he's not as strong as Sephiroth is generally, though his theoretical maximum is higher.

Well Cloud's the hero. He's gonna overcome the trials and powers of the villains whenever the plot situation calls for it. If he's fighting to protect his family and friends, he'll kill anyone, no matter how strong they are

But yeah, he's definitely up there. Omnislash V.6 is proof of that.

But i agree with Mako.

Sephiroth is a no-brainer, and Nero is basically a mini-Exdeath who can swallow tanks and helicopters in his "Darkness".

I also would include Minerva, since she's the embodiment of the Lifestream's will.

It's funny (but also obvious) that the three strongest characters in the FFVII Universe are the ones who are directly linked to the three types of Lifestream seen through the Compilation (Sephiroth being the core of the Negative Lifestream, Nero the only sucessful [read "surviving"] experiment with Stagnant Lifestream and Minerva being the personification of the pure Lifestream).

Good logic, but he was beaten fairly easily by Vincent.

And the reason I don't think the planet qualifies is that it's been routinely shown that it can't get rid of threats to it like Jenova or Sephiroth. I could also get into some theoretical arguments about the whole nature of Jenova, but I'd like to avoid turning my posts into fan-wanks for Sephiroth, if at all possible.

In terms of potential and power, I'd have to rank Aerith right up there. By sheer will alone she didn't disperse into the lifestream and even managed to control it and re-animate some of the floaters to save the planet... I mean, that is of we're just talking power in general and not just fighting prowess.


And I really hate having to be the one to say that.
