I recognized Dean just fine. It was at an odd angle, though.

No, he just doesn't look like Dean, or should I say Jensen Ackles. Sure, you can tell that it's meant to be Dean, but the design is very lacking in resemblance to the man.

Also, before someone mistakenly accuses me of judging the show off the characters designs alone, don't bother. I'm not.

I wasn't going there for judgment, I'm just saying that I think it looks enough like Dean to know that it was Dean. I didn't have to think, "Well since he's with Sam then 1+1=2" and the like. It looked like him.

I could do a comparison of the face from the anime and Jensen, but I just don't give enough of shit to bother.

So ok then.

To be honest, it doesn't even matter, they're gonna be animued up to appeal to japan. No way around that.

It's not too bad, reminds me of Gotham Knight's sequence where Bats has been looking for Killer Croc.

I'd have to watch it in English to be honest. And the English VA's would have to sound a lot like Ackles and Padalecki.

The Japanese voices are just...so jarring XD

They aren't bad. But...they're not Sam and Dean.

And while Sam's character design looks awesome, it just feels like something's missing with Dean. I think its the hair or something.

Overall though this looks good but just...kinda weird I guess. And lolol @ the rendition of "Carry On my Wayward Son."

That's what it is. Thank you. There's too much bishounen in his character design. It's the hair and face. It's too soft. That's what I couldn't figure out.

Oh yes ofcourse a dub will happen, problem is they will be working the English VA off of the Japanese VA, rather than from the TV series.

Chances are we'll have a couple of English VA's that really dont translate well for Sam and Dean. Still, we wont see untill it happens.

I would think they'd try to make the voice actors sound more like the original characters from the series, instead of the anime. I mean, what would be the point of doing the latter?

If we get Johnny Yong Bosch doing Dean's voice for example...I'm gonna have to kill something.

That being said, I think the trailer looks pretty awesome. I'm not digging the Jpop rendition of "Carry on my Wayward Son," though. :/

I just can't take it seriously. I mean, there's nothing bad about the entire thing. In fact it looks pretty well executed. I just... lol.

That said, the ending sequence when that thing rips out of that person was actually really disconcerting.

All of the title characters still look fucking weird.

Especially Dean.

I agree, that something is definitely off about Dean... I think it's because they made Sammy look hotter than him. Which isn't true imo
