Also I'll join. I love both Tifa and Aerith and thought that they were good friends. They never hated each other, ever.

tbh, now you mention it, I don't remember any interaction whatsoever between the two. So calling them 'fwends' is perhaps a tad farfetched.

There was actually quite a bit. In the beginning before you leave Midgar, and it seems like there were a few times where whenever the whole group was in one area Tifa and Aerith would be off talking together (at least they were in Junon). Also I think we are supposed to assume as much anyway.

You see 'em hanging together at that bar in Cosmo Canyon, too, if you don't take either to see Bugenhagen's apparatus.

Yeah, you can tell they're supposed to be friends. They hit it right off in Corneo's mansion, messing with Lady!Cloud together. But I wouldn't have minded seeing more conversation between 'em.

Aerith and Tifa interacted! In the beginning, and one of my favorite lines is when Tifa sticks up for Aerith and says:

I had a really epic one that I can't find of Aeris asking Tifa how she got her boobs so big and Tifa reveals it was some protein drink or something. So Aerith makes herself a huge vat of it and drinks the whole thing and ends up obese. It was disturbing and hilarious.
