Karate's not visually pleasing enough to be incorporated in a movie. Not after Teh Matricks, anyways.

Also, while Chan is awesome, he's not old enough.

Also, unoriginal story (in general) is unoriginal. But then, so were the originals.

I think they actually give a reason for the "Karate Kid" moniker - the dude knows a bit of karate in the beginning but gets his ass handed to him in a fight so they call him that. Or something.
That makes it okay I guess.



EDIT: Well there isn't much age difference between Chan and Wulong but he still looks too friggin old

This movie differs from plot, yet it's the Karate Kid? Okay if you wanted to make a separate movie that wasn't a remake, you wouldn't use the name yes? This movie is going to suck. Enough said. Only one real Karate Kid, Daniel son. *Blasts your the best around*
