Just dropping a note that TLK is a proper topic in itself - you're free to open up a separate 'disney classics' thread, too, imho .

I'm meh about all Disney movies, pretty much, so I'm not going to comment most on this thread. Although I think that TLK is one of the last proper Disney titles they made. What did they do after TLK again? Stuff like Mulan and other heavily CG'd movies?

I think it was, the lack of classic hand drawn artwork in later disney movies ruined the tradition really. It was kind of sad and lazy on their part tbh.

Another thing about newer disney movies is they have 3 times more songs playing throughout. They're a whole lot more musical than they used to be.

I love the music for the old Disney movies. I especially love Aladdin's music for some reason. The Lion King as second.

I.fucking.love.this.movie! No miracle, the soundtrack too. The story of Simba was my all-time-favorite when I was a kid and several months ago I refreshed my love for this classic through the film music. I've also been to the musical. When the animals entered the show room to the play of "Circle of Life"...I struggled so hard with my tears.
The movie or soundtrack could make me cry more often, though.

This production had a huge impact on my childhood and I'm still proud that it wasn't Hannah Montana or name whoever you want of the current Disney cashcows.
