I don't know how many people are going to be interested in this but it's worth a shot.

I love music and a lot of the lyrics can be poetic and pretty and help get me through the day. So I figured it would be cool to have a thread where everyone can post a line or a verse from a song that really reflects how they're feeling and stuff. Or if you just find it pretty. Who knows? It could help brighten other people's day too.

I guess I can start.

My favourite band is The Mountain Goats, and not because they can't play music or sing (they can't) but because their lyrics are effing incredible. I'm going to post a bunch of random examples but honestly guys their stuff is fucking choice.
