The Seven - Episode 6 - Topic Nominations

Well it's been six months since we as a community chose The Seven Most Interesting NPCs. I think it's time for another episode of the Seven, don't you?

For those of you not in the loop, The Seven was a series originally started by the man, the myth, the legend Flintlock, and as a group we have chosen so far "The Seven": best lines of dialogue in Final Fantasy VII, best FMVs in the Final Fantasy series, most difficult boss fights in the series, most appropriate character themes and, most interesting NPCs.

So let's come up with a new topic for a new article. Shout them out. We'll take it nice and slow people, all you have to do is nominate ideas for now and we'll have a voting round later. I'm thinking I'll give us seven days to vote, meaning we'll enter the voting round on April 16th.

The Seven Most Excruciatingly Long Summon/Magic Animations

From Yahoo Answers, surprisingly its not the two you might think:

The answer is likely to be eden from FF8 or Knights of the Round from FF7.

I just tested every summon on 7, and eden on 8,
KotR comes in at 1:23 and
Eden at 1:29
I started my watch (wristwatch stopwatch, not very accurate but hey) when the name of the attack showed up to the point when the character reappears. Going to 9/10 to test summons in those, will update if I find a longer one.

Ark on FFIX weighs in at 1:46 (boost enabled so I got the whole animation and not a clip)

Not longer this time but Anima (ffx) takes 26 to summon (summon doesn't include attack) and it's overdrive is 48
for a total of 1:14
and the magus sister summon at 43 with an overdrive of 1:05
totaling 1:48, so I guess it depends how and what you measure.
