For my two cents, Regent Cid, Vossler and Larsa would be fine with me as Cid is only playable in a mini-game segment and Vossler and Larsa are guest characters who you cannot control directly. The others are a bit harder to defend, but I would like your input on this as well.

However it seems as though we have a great deal of support for "legitimate" candidates as well.

I will amend that then. Forgive me I got confused by the nomenclature and lord knows you come across enough trains in VII. That actually bumps his support quite a bit.

I'll back Harchefaunt and Alphinaud defintely. As much as I love Y'sayle, she's technically a boss.

(Besides if we're nominating ladies from XIV, my money has to go to Minfilia. Not only is she a great character and solid leader but she has huge... personality).

^The trouble with FFXIV is that so many characters end up being fought against.

Raubahn, Midgarsomr, Hrasvelgr, all of the major Acians, all of the major Garleans, etc.

Major Trial and Raid bosses I can see making an exception for, but if their primary role is being a character rather then a boss... then I'd question it. Ysayle isn't the same entity as Shiva for example, as much as she's a character in the HW main quest.

Okay last chance to nomvote folks. On Sunday I will start a thread where will sort through the top contenders to choose the top seven. Basically any entry that got 2 or more support. This will be a chance to re-enforce which of these entries deserve to be in the top seven. (Edit: By way of a multi-choice vote)

I considered just going with the nomvote results here by itself, but because there was some confusion over the NPC koala-fications (thanks mostly to my overzealousness) I wanted to make sure people got a chance to throw their full support behind their favorites after the nominations were over. I apologize if this seems overly cautious

Seto, Shinra manager, Zangan, the old man in Junon who is a retired SOLDIER and later in the game feel the Jenova Reunion instinct and resists it and Tseng.

I'm pretty sure they're one and the same though I don't think the village has an official leader. He just kind of has the role by default.
