So a good strat would be to keep Ramza really underleveled while maxing everyone else out? Hmm...

Actually it appears that it's based on the highest level in your roster, and that just happens to almost always be Ramza.

One way you CAN play with it is to tame a Mindflayer and use a move they have to lower your levels. But most story battles are level-fixed, so that could make those harder.

hey now ;.; they're not that bad until high levels, at which point it doesn't matter because you're INSANELY OVERPOWERED AHAHAHAHAHA

seriously tactics has a level cap of 99 and it's almost impossible to not reach that super quickly if you play to unlock classes between story battles (MASSIVE HINT) and do just a touch of grinding. kimble recommends 2-3 random battles between story fights.

frankly the most IRRITATING FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT GODDAMN ENEMIES in the game...are chocobos. FUCK CHOCOBOS. FUCK THEM UP THEIR STUPID BIRDLIKE ASSES

Then logic dictates to pick for the one with less votes and hope for a second tiebreaker (i.e. the coin flip). That way the decision is out of your hands. (Edit: Not that I'm gunning for X but just saying that's how I sees it. )

The summons acquired in FFXII are the Lucavi from Final Fantasy Tactics, aka those demons that possess people that had the Zodiac Stones.

With the XII IZJS Remaster coming out, it'd be interesting to see the connections between Tactics and XII. That kind of makes Tactics more relevant than X re: current FF news.

Part of what I was always looking for in XII that it never gave me, lol. I didn't need or even want the stories to be DIRECTLY connected, but some hints or acknowledgements more tangible

than the summons merely being the Lucavi. Maybe something that hints at their intentions? Or even something involving/foretelling the events of the Zodiac Braves (whom the Lucavi claim to be in Tactics)? There is a reference to the Church of Glabados I believe, but its kinda buried. And the cache that Balthier is searching for sorta pays off in a neat way in the War of the Lions. But I was hoping for more

I've voted for Final Fantasy X. I'd be happy to play either of these games, but I'm especially hoping to play X as it would be a chance for me to introduce my boyfriend to Final Fantasy and I don't think he would be so enamoured by Tactics as an entry to the series.
