Toonami's back forreals this time

And most of the main cast voice actors for the DBZ Kai dub are the same as the ones from the regular DBZ Funimation dub.

It does bear mentioning that, while the voice actors may be the same, that doesn't mean the characters sound the same. Vegeta is a good example, his voice is much rougher and consistently deeper in Kai than it was at the same points in the show for other dubs. Watching said older dubs, you can hear the change (some intentional, some caused by constantly recording the poor voice actors screaming for power-up sequences and the like) progressing from around the end of the Frieza saga to the Buu saga. Vegeta just sounds like he did in the Buu saga in the entirety of Kai.

Well, due to budget, Toonami is basically under a "trial run" - it seems.

It's basically being merged with Saturday Night's (/Sunday Morning) "Adult Swim." -- Including the "re-airing" that Adult Swim does. It was a given, due to earlier news, that it would take up the Adult Swim block of "once a week" from 12-6. But, the newest bit is that it is just 12-3 and then repeating from 3-6.

Tom will return (same voice), but Sara will not.

If the block is successful -- then there MIGHT be a chance for either (more) new shows or a different time slot?

12:30 a.m. - Deadman Wonderland
1:00 a.m. - Casshern Sins
1:30 a.m. - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
2:00 a.m. - Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG
2:30 a.m. - Cowboy Bebop

Titles such as Naruto and Dragonball Z are too pricey (currently?) so they won't be airing on Toonami (any time soon?).

when i checked the schedule for friday i did not see deadman wonderland, casshern sins or stand alone complex. i only saw flcl, durarara!! and a second fma: brotherhood. can anyone else confirm that?

Deadman Wonderland & Cowboy Bebop are over & it looks like they're being swapped out for Samurai 7 & Eureka 7.

Also, I ended up reading through all of the Deadman Wonderland manga this week, and it's TOTALLY badass, and I only hope that they finish it at some point, since the illustrator went on hiatus for his wife's pregnancy.


Still enjoying Casshern Sins as the plot's VERY slowly emerging.
